I will be the first to admit when I took my dream job at my alternative school working with students under long term suspensions, character education was not my strong point. So I did what should be done....I researched it. I found materials I loved. I found what worked and what didn't work for my situation. I shared what I learned. Then I began to make my own materials.
This once underappreciated area soon became my favorite to teach and share. My 5th grade students, whose pastime was talking about their favorite street gangs, started writing and passing out Kindness Kompliments to other students! Amazing!
So here are some resources for you to use with your favorite kids to help to teach and encourage them to spread kindness.
