The Little Baby That Could....

Eight years ago, I started my journey in motherhood. It was not all rainbows and sunshine. It was all day morning sickness, swollen ankles, high blood pressure, and eventually bed rest. After three weeks of bedrest and 40 hours of labor, I welcomed my miracle. Alondra Jade, 3lb 7oz of fighter. I can remember every feeding, every diaper, and every bath. I remember that no matter what I was doing, every evening around the 10PM vitals, her weight was going to be checked. Another check on her list. For every ounce she took by bottle meant one less she needed by feeding tube. I remember that orange wrist band that gave me full access to my sweet baby. This tiny little fighter that began my bunch.

Now I'm not early so emotional in the day to day routine. This was just my first life shattering part of journey, into motherhood, post partum depression, divorce, custody issues, and finally to my now. Most of the players are still the same. The B's lineup has grown to 9 total now. And I'm in my dream position, teaching in an alternative interim educational setting with the so-called "worst kids in the district."

So if you're interested in my journey, join in. If there is someone who will benefit from my journal, please share it. Just know I will do what I always for my bunch who needs me every day.
